“Hotel with a pool” can mean three completely different things.
An outdoor pool is perfect for a hot afternoon but may be seasonal. An indoor pool is much more useful in winter or shoulder season. A private-pool suite gives you privacy, but it usually costs significantly more and may have a much smaller pool than the hotel’s main one.
Before paying extra, check whether the pool is heated, seasonal, indoor, outdoor or exclusive to your exact room category.
Outdoor pool
Best in warm weather. Always check opening dates because many are seasonal.
Indoor pool
Best for winter, rainy days and travellers who want reliable pool access year-round.
Private pool
Best for privacy and special occasions, but usually limited to selected premium suites.
Heated pool
Do not assume “heated” means warm in every season. Ask about current water temperature and opening dates.

Goreme has the biggest range, from small boutique pools to indoor spa pools. Uchisar is strong for luxury pools. Urgup works well for larger full-service cave hotels, and Mustafapasa has several strong indoor-spa options.
Pool view vs pool use
Some pools look spectacular in photos but are small or mainly decorative. If swimming matters, check size, depth, opening hours and whether the pool is heated before choosing the hotel.
